• How to effectively use FI, CO and MM period locks: Fine-tune your month-end task-list by leveraging the functionality of FI, CO and MM period locks. Ensure a smooth financial close by scheduling month-end close tasks by leveraging features of FI, CO and MM period locks.
• When to run batch jobs for WIP, Variance and Settlement: Remove person-dependency and ensure jobs are run automatically by the system. Optimize system performance by scheduling these tasks during off-peak hours.
• Learn which cost allocation method is best for you - distribution or assessment. Learn how to optimize performance of these resource intensive transactions. Control overall close time-lines by optimizing allocation cycles. Reduce overall month-end close timeline even if a cycle has to be re-executed
• Review various cost objects in controlling available for tracking costs. Learn which transaction codes are involved for each cost object (e.g. production order, process order, product cost collector, cost center, internal order, WBS element and so on).
